Who We Are

Louie

I am a Veteran of the United States Army. I served  in the pilot's seat of a UH-1H (Huey) Helicopter from 1987 to 1992 as an Aviation Chief Warrant Officer during Operation Desert Storm. Prior to serving our country I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. All through my childhood, teenage and adult years, I have kept reptiles and amphibians in some form or another, but it was a beautiful Reticulated Python baby that got me hooked on pythons. When I am not taking care of snakes I participate in two of my favorite activities, juggling and flying.

Maggie

Maggie Abreu has had a long love and respect for animals since the time she could walk. As an adult she has travelled to Costa Rica to volunteer at Rainsong Animal Sanctuary near the national park Reserve Cabo Blanco in Cabuya. Maggie gave informational tours, cleaned cages, prepped food and fed a variety of injured and endangered animals (like birds, monkeys and turtles). Outside the sanctuary Maggie frequently observed Central America's wildlife including unique insects, boas, coral snakes, frogs, tarantulas, lizards and anteaters. Maggie's other interests include acrobatics, aerial silks, theater, creative writing and adventure travel.
In charge of internet advertising and general weekly maintenance of the snake room.

Andy

Andrew Helmut Grant March 6, 1951- February 5, 2016 R.I.P. United States Army Vietnam Veteran. My inseparable brother, the best friend any one could ever have! Andy has left a void in the lives of everyone that knew him. He was always spreading joy, compliments and making people smile, all while being the baddest motherfucker in town! As he would often say "Happy, Handsome and Thirsty and one of them is a lie, so which one is it? Now be nice!" I love you my brother you will always be with us and you will always be an integral part of juggler BP!!!
